Flashcards

Flashcards are small cards with a keyword on one side, and an explanation, formula or rule on the other. Making flashcards can be an effective way to remember specific information.

You remember images and illustrations better than text and numbers alone. It can therefore be smart to combine text, numbers and images when you make flashcards.

It does not matter if the combination of text, numbers and images doesn’t make sense to others if it makes sense to you. If you associate the Pythagorean theorem with pythons, which really does not belong together, it can still work well as a flashcard.

Make one card for each keyword, formula or rule. It’s most effective to remember the cards both ways. That way you remember both the keyword and the explanation based on what hint you get.
