Relative Frequency and Law of Large Numbers in GeoGebra

You can use GeoGebra to run a simulation, which is useful for studying probability results and The Law of Large Numbers.

GeoGebra Instruction 1

Simulating dice throws

  • Open Spreadsheet mode under GeoGebra icon View in GeoGebra icon Menu.

  • Type

    RandomBetween(1,6)

in an empty cell. GeoGebra will print a random number between 1 and 6 in that cell.

  • Click the cell to mark it, then click and hold the blue square in the lower-right corner. Move the cursor downward. The rows below the first cell will print random numbers between 1 and 6 just like in the previous step. You have just simulated dice rolls!
